Marc Anthony (born Marco Antonio Muñiz on September 16, 1968, in New York City) is an iconic American singer, songwriter, and actor renowned as the top-selling salsa artist of all time. With over 12 million albums sold worldwide, he has earned four Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, and a record twenty-nine Lo Nuestro Awards, making him one of the most decorated artists in Latin music.

Growing up in East Harlem to Puerto Rican parents, Marc was deeply influenced by salsa legends like Tito Puente and Héctor Lavoe, blending Latin rhythms with elements of R&B, pop, and rock to create a distinctive sound. His breakthrough came with his 1993 salsa debut album Otra Nota, which marked the start of a series of influential releases including Todo a su tiempo and Contra La Corriente.
